Steve Hungsberg, Principal

Steve Hungsberg is the founder and owner of Toque Consulting. He has more than 16 years of food industry experience in strategy development, marketing, branding, promotions, and profitability analysis.

Steve has served as an executive at some of the top food companies in the country, including General Mills, ConAgra, Quaker Oats, and Beech-Nut, and has managed businesses with more than $500 million in annual sales.  He developed and implemented successful growth strategies for some of America's best-known food brands, many of which are in your pantry right now. 

Steve holds a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.  His unique lens on the food industry, combined with his vast experience running large brands and businesses, allows him to bring a level of expertise to restaurant clients that is unparalleled in the Capital Region.

When not focused on the restaurant industry, Steve indulges his own love of cooking by taking regular culinary classes and preparing meals for family and friends.
